HMS Ark Royal (R09) Pens

An Audacious class aircraft carrier, HMS Ark Royal (R09) was commissioned in 1955 and was the first aircraft carrier to be constructed with an angled flight deck and steam catapults, as opposed to having them added after launching. This allowed aircraft to take off and land at the same time.
These unique pens have been crafted from teak taken from her quarter deck when she was decommissioned and later broken up in the early 1980's. |
