The integrity of the wood and operation of the pen is not affected.
The Verne is a slightly longer ballpoint pen than some of our other twist pens, featuring fine detailing on the upper nib section banding and a solid twist mechanism,
Slightly less evocative than the multicolour variants but no less striking, this is sure to score highly with anyone wanting a subtle and classy pen.

Material used to craft this pen:
This pen has been made using timber from a mooring post that stood in the Historic Harbour Breakers Yard.
The Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth housed the iconic Harry Pounds Submarine Breakers which started just after the Second World War. The Harry Pounds Scrapyard was famous for the scrapping of old submarines and ships over the years, and became the last resting place for many military vehicles.
Among the submarines to be scrapped there were HMS Tiptoe and HMS Artemis.
