Gloucester cathedral was used for the majority of interior Hogwarts scenes within Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
It is also home to the original door to the Gryffindor Common Room, as well as the corridor that spelled out the ominous words: "The Chamber of Secrets has been opened! Enemies of the heir beware!"

Color/Appearance: Heartwood is a light to medium brown, commonly with an olive cast, though there can be a fair amount of variation in color. Nearly white to light brown sapwood is not always sharply demarcated from the heartwood. Quartersawn sections display prominent ray fleck patterns.
English Oak falls into the white oak group, and shares many of the same traits as White Oak (Quercus alba).
